Yesterday I found an interesting program in the music section of iPlayer, it was called Folk Aduaidh. It was part two about the history of folk music in Ulster. This morning it occurred to me that a look at the Northern Ireland section of iPlayer (I live in England) might be worth it, and lo and behold there was part one! I haven’t watched it yet, but there are only a few days left to see it, so time is short. There was nothing of specific interest to whistlers in part two, but I look forward to the other parts with interest. I know this might be frustrating to other members around the world, but that’s out of my hands I’m afraid!

p.s. I just realised that this might not be the right forum for this - administrators feel free to move!
p.p.s. I’ve just found that episode three is on BBC 2 Northern Ireland tomorrow night, and should be available on iPlayer soon after. See this link:

Thanks for that link. I’m downloading Episode 1 but the third, which is from the 90’s to the present day, advertises Brian Finnegan in it, so will be worth a look.
Glad it’s been helpful to someone Mike. As you say, it looks as though tomorrow’s will have more content of interest to wind players.
Thank’s for that link, MarshMan.
Unfortunately I can’t watch it, but maybe it turns up on youtube sometime.
On Sunday evenings Colum Sands presents ‘Folk Club’ on bbc radio ulster, 19:03 o’clock. Worth listening to, a mixture of old and new, sometimes something appeals.
Greetings,
Ellen
Hi Ellen,
It’s a great shame that you and others can’t watch this. I’ll try and remember to have a listen to Radio Ulster’s Folk Club.
All the best
