I see no basis for that fear, but either way, the gun probably won’t do you a whole lot of good!
About the South, you might want to review the November election results. It’s really the Midwest that’s holding out — the ‘Show-Me’ state, etc… Not to worry, we’re workin’ on it.
Obama’s appropriate response to a somewhat flawed award process:
“I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments. But rather as an affirmation of American leadership. … I will accept this award as a call to action.”
(The Weekender, realizing his intellectual and/or cultural limitations, ponders whether bowfishing means standing on a boat fishing, or shootin’ arrows into the water)
I would point out that is a photo of Compound Bow Fishing, not Bow Fishing. In real Bow Fishing using a real bow the fish is not the target. Good way to get a carp for Christmas though at least around here, back home the arrows just bounce off the ice.
My brother moved from Indiana to Louisiana, his wife’s home state. Katrina just about drove him away, but after replacing both of his cars and cleaning up the mess, he seems to be there to stay. He has had some run-ins with the locals, though. He was at the lumberyard for something or other, and a salesman came up to him and asked if he could help. My brother told him what he was looking for. Then the salesman asked, “Where you from, anyway?”. My brother said Indiana, and the salesman did an about face and walked away. Not gonna help no damn Yankee, no way.
That salesman was a idiot. he does not represent the majority of us. Its mainly a joking thing with us now.
I am totally with Dr Martin Luther King, judge a man on the content of his character, not color , or ,where he is from, what his accent is etc.
It’s a smaller travesty than Kissinger’s prize, but I think the committee jumped the gun. On the other hand, americans may not have understood the fervour with which the world awaited the end of Bush.
