Northeast Tionol Reminder

Hello,

I just wanted to remind everyone of the 2008 Northeast Tionol. The “Early Bird” deadline for registration ends on August 15th.

The tionol will take place at Gavin’s in East Durham, NY again this year, and the dates of the event are October 24th through the 27th. The line-up of instructors is nothing short of amazing: Mick O’Brien, Cormac Cannon, Debbie Quigley, Cillian Vallely, Ivan Goff, and the illustrious Fr. D’Arcy. Benedict Koehler will be conducting the reed and pipe maintenance workshops. Breda Keville and Patrick Ourceau will be conducting the fiddle classes.

Several have asked about staying at Gavin’s for the sessions, but not taking classes. You are certainly very welcome to do that. We are handling the room reservations, rather than Gavin’s, for the weekend. Just complete a registration form and indicate that you will not be taking classes, and we’ll get your room reserved.

Check us out at www.eastcoastpipers.com for more info. Hope to see many of you there!

I should make one clarification. I stated that the Tionol dates are Oct. 24th through the 27th. We plan to have several activities on Sunday, thus we are encouraging people to stay over until Monday, the 27th if they possibly can. No events will occur on Monday, however. It will all be over but the crying.
