Reminder: East Coast Tionol Sept 30-Oct 2

Posted on behalf of Susanne Ward:

This event is now less than three weeks away. Register soon!

We have a diverse and talented lineup of guests this year. In conjunction with the Southern California Pipers’ Club, we are privileged to have Clare piper Maire Ni Ghrada and Waterford piper Jimmy O’Brien Moran join us. Limerick piper and pipemaker Mickey Dunne will join us as the reed making expert. Tipperary piper Michael Cooney, now residing in the U.S., and Dublin piper Ivan Goff , now living in New York City, will join us for the first time. Toronto piper Debbie Quigley, and Vermont piper and pipemaker Benedict Koehler will return to the teaching staff. Rhode Island piper Patrick Hutchinson will be available for private lessons on Sunday.

Again this year, we will bring back the popular fiddle workshops. Patrick Ourceau, whose recording Live at Mona’s demonstrates his mastery on the fiddle, will join Willie Kelly in teaching fiddle classes throughout the weekend.

There is also a concurrent flute workshop with Mike McHale on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Furlong’s Pub in East Durham. There will be two classes, one from 10:00 AM to noon and the second from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Register for the flute workshop on site.
