No cure for the obsession, so...

Thanks for the support, guys, I feel so much better. Now that I know the condition is hopeless, I guess I’ll just succumb. And, I’ve been reading with interest the discussions of various types of whistles…too bad I can’t play mpegs yet on this Linux machine! So what’s next for me, Elfsong or Sindt??? And I still need one for the car…

By the way, I played a few tunes I hadn’t played since Christmastime when I had myself a merry little whistlefest when no one was home, and lo and behold, they were soooo much easier to play! Don’t know what happened, guess it’s just my whistles breaking in…

And one other thing, if anyone has read this far…I really love my Dixon with the brass tuning slide. She’s pretty cool, just really a lady. I should call her “Lady D”. And you know, the little Sweetone D isn’t bad…he’s got this kind of “plonky attitude” to it that’s great for the faster tunes–it’s a little more blue collar, if you know what I mean, a bit of a rabble-rouser–perhaps “Mac” for him. I know it’s only around $5, but I think it will be around awhile. So shoot me if I have no taste…and for naming my whistles.

One last thing…Just around the first of the year, I made my first post with some technical playing questions. I have to say that the responses were very helpful, and have helped me a lot, so THANKS!!!

Try a Sindt…he makes a marvelous whistle. And if you don’t have a Water Weasel, it’s time.

Ah…so many good whistles so little time…er, money…er, something!
