Is there any cure for WhoA?

I just pre-ordered a Vambrace Irish Whistle by Oz Whistles in High D Blackwood from Whistle and Drum.

Do I need it? No. Do I want it? Um… hell yeah!!!

Now I just have to wait for it!! Ugh!!

No.

LOL Oh great :boggle:

Oh well

Don’t listen to the Walrus. Of course there’s a cure for WhOA.

Just get them all.

Duh.

And spares. You know, just in case.

No cure…accept your fate and enjoy  If this helps you any to know, you ordered one of the best whistles…look at the reviews. And there will be plenty of people in back of you or in front of you like me !!!
( I just ordered one from Mitch about a week ago)

Actually, as you acquire lots of whistles from many makers, you will begin to have favorites. You will acquire x number of whistles in the keys you desire, and you will sell or trade all the rest. Then comes a time of relatively stasis. Whoa will go into a type of faux remission. But please beware. Below the surface, Whoa will always be waiting…

Brahahahahahahahahahahah

Best.

I’d like to answer your question, but at the moment I’m busy with my Reviol low D that arrived yesterday.

After that I’ll need to spend some time with the Syn set I just acquired.

On second thought, I think I may be disqualified from answering your question.

With me, I simply found something else to collect. I think everyone needs one collecting hobby and, for a time with me, it was whistles.

The cure is…MORE.

Yes there is a cure. Backpacking. Long distance. Months on the trail with only one instrument will give you new appreciation for that instrument. It will become a beloved best friend.

Hi

Aside from the Back packer with one whistle cure, the only other one I can think of is

Stop being so bloody selfish and greedy!..

As one who ordered the same whistle two weeks and several hours ago, I can say we are lucky we do not all suffer from MAS (Mandolin Acquisition Syndrome).

Now here’s a group of people you want to be a part of (and I am serious) hahaha

Did any mention a strong wife or husband yet? That seems to cure WhOA on Occassion

Take up another instrument then your syndrome will transfer to that one..I think you should be happy your addiction is fairly reasonable. If you don’t buy too many O’Riordans, you’re still ahead of anyone with GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome).

If you are lucky, it will occasionally go into remission, but it cannot be cured. There is no true “Magic Whistle”. If you are really, really strong, and lucky, you might be able to kick it cold-turkey, but the emotional costs are prohibitive.

Good luck my friend.
