newbie question: clog/ moisture in mouthpiece what to do?

now playing the generation Bb and I get clogged up after half an hour, I guess this is moisture.
then I cannot continue playing notes well (so said) what do I do about this problem?

berti

I usually just slurp it out, but a drop of dish soap coating the windway work pretty well

I usually just bang the whistle against the heel of my shoe. It seems to work. Probly not great for the instrument, though.

warm the whistle up first.

  1. Hold bottom end of whistle. Raise it over your shoulder.
  2. Point away from people. (Important)
  3. A quick downward snap of the wrist and elbow should generate the centrifugal force necessary to eliminate most of the moisture from the whistle.

Don’t spit in the whistle.

Sling it out! Don’t be a spit slurper like illuminatus99.

Get an Alba

uhm no that is not what I am after thanks…going to get a tweaked shaw later …

Well you always could try boring a small hole into the back of the windway inserting a length of plastic tube and run it down into a ballon in your pocket, that seams to work :sunglasses:

LOL maybe, but also true.

this works quite well actually

Yes, just right for incontinent whistles

This could be a marketing opportunity. Whistle diapers!
