New whistles...and more

I’ve made a couple more whistles and flutes. Didn’t finished the whistles yet, I still have to put on the “rings of balance”

The whistles came out great! :sunglasses: Both of them are Low D. Beautiful sound, not too loud, and both require so little air is very easy to hit both the second and third octaves. I bet they can be played pretty fast too, although I’m not an experienced player yet so I can’t really comment on that.

These are my first flutes, the aluminium one has a small embouchure (not sure if I’m spelling that right), it’s a bit more difficult to play than the bamboo one, but requires less breath.
The one made from bamboo is really loud and has an amazing, woody sound. I had some weird problems with the holes and notes, that’s why the first two are that big. It’s tuned now, but I don’t understand yet why did I need to make those holes so huge. Anyway, both flutes play quite in tune on the first two octaves (couldn’t hit the third yet, since this is my first time playing flute, too  )

All comments and suggestions are welcome!

(Will try and post a soundclip ASAP)

Good looking work! What key is your bamboo flute in, an inquiring mind would like to know.
