New Issue of Chiff & Fipple Newsletter on the Web

I’ve posted a new issue of Chiff & Fipple on the web. I’ve not sent it out to the mailing list yet because I’m awaiting permission to publish something. But, you guys deserve a free preview.

Thanks Dale. Good letter. Light reading (about the helium) Good trip with Jessie to Dave’s. And the feeling of being certified is certainly satisfying. I’m thinking of taking it to City Market to scan our actual value.
I appreciated Auden’s poetry at the first time and now the reminder. Very timely and applicable to now. I hope we learn soon to value what we have and what we stand for (and won’t stand for) and not recycle events needlessly. Lord help us.

I never knew that William Wallace played the whistle, though! Did he make his own?

T

no, I’m sure Davy made it.

William Wallace playing whistle…I’m confused! I didn’t see anything about William Wallace in the newsletter…inside joke? Bye!

Brent

Oops, my mistake. It isn’t in the newsletter, but in the main site (the Classic Way). It’s down toward the bottom.

Our whistle historians and/or Thom might correct me on this, but he appears to be holding the ancient scottish “Feadogmor” or “great whistle.”

No time to go into the history of this fascinating instrument–I have to get ready for work.
