Pablo Carpintero has designed a new chanter, based on a model from his grandfather mixed with an old chanter from El Bierzo (near to Leon). Is tuned in C, and can be played in open fingering an also in galician closed-fingering. But the best thing is that you can overblow notes very easy, you can play chromatic-scales, and it has the old flavour of ancient galician chanters. We can say it is the chanter of the year, indeed.
