Here’s a free (!) program which takes tunes in ABC-notation and (a) plays
them, (b) shows & prints the score, and (c) makes & saves MIDI files of
them. (Windoze only by the looks).
There’s no help file yet, but one’s on the way soon apparently (Hint: to play a tune, you have to double-click on it.) It seems to work quite well - and the price is right.
It has “on the fly” slow-downing and stuff too (for the ABC, not CD). Very cool.
Hello there, I’ve downloaded navigator and I’m impressed about it’s function.
One problem I have is with the printing?
It seems I can only print just one bar. Can anyone tell me how to split the bar and make sure the music fits to one page? and not just the bar?
Have you added the tune to the print list? One thing I’ve found so far is that you have to add each tune individually to the print list before printing. Haven’t found a way of adding all the tunes to the print list at once.
It’s done by highlighting a tune, then clicking the “add to print list” button, shown here:
and then when all the tunes are added, opening the print list, and clicking ‘print’. If your printer’s set up okay it should come out fine.
