I have a crack on though the embouchure on my Seery blackwood (fully lined head) that only opens when the humidity drops. It doesn’t effect the playability at all apparently but I’d like to get it fixed. It wasn’t an expensive flute (picked it up here used a while ago) but it is a nice, if quiet player.
I was thinking about selling it to get something with a bit more bark but I want to get it fixed first and get the once over by a competent repair person before I make any decisions.
Casey Burns recommends Kara Lochridge but she isn’t taking any new work at the moment.
Anyone have any recommendations? I’d prefer to stay in the US if possible just to avoid any shipping or customs issues.
Thanks
