My first time on this forum

Hey all,

I “finally” got on this forum. Just saying hi. Thank god for an Uilleann pipe forum. I own a half set (lefty) from several different pipe makers: the chanter (D) is made by Seth Gallagher, the drones are made by Nick Whitmer (I like his style of drones–they are different from most others – very compact and sounding great. The bellows and bag are from Bill Thomas. Seth Gallagher’s chanter sounds and plays excellent. I just got the chanter this past summer and I’m having no problems yet…knock wood.

All the best!

Hi Behan

Welcome to the dark side

David

A man after my own heart. Nick’s work is top notch.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Behan. Say, any relation to the famous playwrite who once made the comment “I’ll do my best” after seeing a billboard advertising ginger ale with the slogan “Drink Canada Dry”.

Good to know there are more lefty’s out there…a small faction within a small faction.

Welcome aboard.

Joseph, that’s a great quote!

Nice to see a new face!

You mean there’s a waiting list for the forum as well!! Just kidding. Welcome aboard.

How 'bout posting a pic of your pipes too if you get the chance.

How’s the uilleann piping scene in Brisbane?

I would love to post a few pics of my pipes however, I’m not too sure just how to post them on this forum. I’m working on a website so when that is done, I’ll add the link.

   [/quote]

There’s a few of us around, mostly hidden in the woodwork. Look forward to viewing your site when it’s up. You can link directly to any photos on your website by using the website address, but instead of having .com or whatever at the end, finish with the photo file name, ie

http://www.------.com/photoname.jpg

and then highlight it and click on ‘Img’ at the top of the message box.

Cheers,
