I do trash art from time to time, and this little sculpture I took a picture of.

Tell me what you think.

Does it have a title?
Comments: I wish it had a more unifying theme that I could appreciate. The doll creatures, the blue square, and the yellow rectangles are blocking all the other symbolism for me.
Thanks.
Yep, it has a title. I don’t want to share it here though, cause it’s the name of some of my friends. Each character I included (including the painting and the books) are loved ones or friends of mine for various reasons, so it’s somewhat unified but really personal. It’s kind of my family, with all the different people who are so different, and bright colors and a lot of clashing going on.
I thought it was a nativity scene of the bizarre.
It is thoughtful.
If it were multiple guess as to who put that together: Jack, or five of the other top posters to the forum, I think about half would guess Jack, so it says something about the artist.
I’ll second that…
well put Bill.
denny wanted you to say him bill
“him bill”
There, I said it.
Now what?
now we wait for denny to respond. it’s as easy as shooting fish in a barrel.

I wonder why people shoot fish in a barrel.
An interesting work. One of my family members made a comfortable living from “trash art” so don’t discount your work. I finally learned from this what those two rectangular bars mean. I always thought they were a sticker denoting retirement from the Navy at the rank of Captain.
I will have to report you for illegal possession of a Terrapene carolina carolina shell however, sorry, agents should be at your door right about… ![]()
I don’t get it, and I don’t like it. But then, I’m an opinionated snob.
Well, I killed it myself. Muahahahaha! ![]()

Did you ever see a film called “The Cell”?
I used to do that sort of art, too. Fun, and you can come up with some really cool works. Instead of “trash”, though, the fashionable word was “found objects”, or if you wanted to put on airs, objets trouvés.
Now repeat after me: “oh-bzhay troo-vay”. Make your R sound like you’re kind of trying to clear a hair out of the back of your throat. And don’t worry about the S’s. The French don’t seem to care.

Oo, oo, that’s Pig Latin for “bzhoh vtroo!”
slinking back into obscurity
Which is the sculpture? I just see junk on a shelf. ![]()
Lamby, are you an utter philistine???
