Must be in his Genes

MacDuff, our Scottish terrier, loves pipes and often come as sets at my side as I play. Just lays there and goes to sleep. Must be in his genes.

Now when I pick up the accordion, he goes in the darkest closet he can find, at the other end of the house. I think he is telling me something.

What does your pet do when you play the pipes?

my dog comes in to my room and sings - at least I think he does. I’m sure he’s not whining (he could be when I play pipes tho) because when I play my fiddle he sings too - and I’m prety good on the fiddle… also as back up proof: a friend of mines dad plays the fiddle and he sings to him too so i dunno…

any animal psycologists out there?

My dog takes a nap.

I’ve never seen a Scots Terrier in jeans. That must be quite a feat!

I did have a pair of cats that would actively get up in my lap when I whistled… and get very loving… but I finally figured out that they were really just trying to dislodge the whistle so I would cease the infernal racket.

nothing wrong with my pipes or piping…but i have a deaf Parson Russell terrier,… but he’s allways happy when i’m playing.

my two cats hate highland pipes, will tolerate uilleann pipes if they don’t want to leave their spot, and seem pretty apathetic towards whistles; my black tabby loves the banjo and my orange tabby is partial to the piano

A finch we used to own would acasionally fly on me fingers as I would play. It was funny to see it go up and down.
