OK, so it is my fault: I keep playing my Olwell flute for a minute here and there as I am doing things around the house (cooking) and I now have a problem with mould in the flute. I tried to clean it out with a rag, but it just comes back every time and it smells - particularly near the mouthpiece (only on the inside) and the top area of the flute.
Anyone know how to deal with this? I was thinking of putting some tea tree oil inside, but that might do it damage and I don’t want to damage an Olwell bamboo. Apart from that I have no clue. It’s never happened to me with any wooden flute I owned before. Is it a bamboo thing??
