Hello there, I was wondering about something, since I’ve been playing the Axianov Irish Flute that I 3D printed about a month ago. Been loving it, but some chromatic notes are so difficult to play, or even sound, I was wondering if anyone has advice for a potential of a D♯ pinky key on the flute to make it play similarly to a traverso. I’ve printed other traversos but I don’t particularly like how airy and weak they sound. My primary note issues seem to be F♮ and E♭. Or perhaps there’s another set up someone can recommend. For what it’s worth, I printed with silk PLA, and in 0.1 layers, with solid infill.
Actually, cross fingerings are ineffective on large-holed flutes. Adding an Eb key to such a flute wouldn’t make it work like a traverso, as the traverso’s acoustic design relies on small holes to make cross-fingerings functional.

Do you know of a Traverso that would be easy enough to put together that you would recommend? And that has a big enough sound? I’d like to be able to play something that is chromatic enough for me to get around on flexibly without needing a whole different instrument in a different tuning.
