MK (aka Jazz) low D Whistles...anyone have recent info??

Hi. Do many of you own MK Whistles?

The Web site says they are louder than most, but I have no idea what they’re compairing their whistle to…

I’m still trying to decide on a low-D and these look interesting but I’ve not heard much on the board about them (and didn’t find much using the search).

Some body bought one not too long ago I don’t remeber who though. They liked it as far as I can remeber.

I got one on a chance encounter with a great music store in Inverness. They are pricy - 145 pounds, but a good whistle. The tuning is good, and to me the sound quality does not change as you go into the second octave.

I also find it to be a fairly fast large whistle, with moderate air requirements, and a great round sound.

I bought one at the start of the year and have been really pleased with it. It is the only whistle I use now and I find it great for sessions. It is louder than my other Low D’s, I especially like the strong bottom D and the fact that you can play quite hard without accidently jumping onto the next octave.
