MIRMACHI JIG

This is a Canadian jig, specifically from the province of New Brunswick. Does anyone know where I can get it, either in GIF, ABC, MIDI or whatever? I’ve done umpteen searches.

Nope, that’s not it. I’m very sure it is a jig. Aw, nuts, you know when you have a tune just on the tip of your brain :roll:

Fiddler’s Companion lists both “Miramichi” tunes as being in Ken Perlman’s The Fiddle Music of Prince Edward Island for what it’s worth. And doesn’t mention any connection between the jig “Off She Goes To Miramichi” and the common jig “Off She Goes”.

Ken Perlman’s PEI book does indeed have two Miramichi tunes. One is a reel called The Miramichi Fire. The other is a jig called Off She Goes to Mirimachi.
The jig doesn’t appear to be related to the more common jig Off She Goes.
