National Endowment for the Arts Presents Live Webcast of
2010 NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert
on Friday, September 24, 2010

Washington, D.C. - On Friday, September 24, 2010, at 8:00 p.m. EDT the National Endowment for the Arts will present a live webcast of its annual NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert. This is the first year the concert has been available to those unable to attend in person. To access the webcast, visit arts.gov <> http://www.arts.gov/> > the afternoon of September 24 for instructions. An archive of the concert will be available following the event.
Afro-Cuban drumming, classical Indian dancing, and Bluegrass music are just a few of the folk and traditional arts that will take center stage at this concert, which features lively music and dance performances alongside demonstrations of centuries’ old crafts, and engaging interviews with the 2010 NEA National Heritage Fellows, recipients of the nation’s highest honor in the folk and traditional arts. Nick Spitzer, host of public radio’s American Routes, will emcee the concert.
