Has anyone ordered cane from S. L. Medir of Spain recently? The last price I have is 17 Euro per kilo + 16% VAT + Shipping. That’s about $27 US cane + tax. But what about shipping from Spain to USA for a kilo of cane? About a year ago he sent me a sample and the shipping was 4.75 Euro to mail the sample.

I haven’t ordered recently, but there are great savings in buying in bulk. Get several friends together and buy a couple of kilos each. That’s enough for a lifetime for most people.

Probably Medir is one of the best Arundo sellers. Almost all galician reed makers buy his canes for the gaita’s reeds.
Furthermore, Seth Gallagher uses Medir canes too.

Great! I figure it’ll take me a couple years to go through the 2 kilos I get from Medir! Then I can use some of your homegrown.
