May makeover

It was “Whistles by Mack” which was a subsidiary of “Just a Whim by Mack”. Then it was “Mack Whistles” then “Hoover Whistles” then back to “Whistles by Mack”. Now it’s
http://mackhooverwhistles.com

You can call it (them) what you will, but all paths now lead to the dot com.

I kinda like the new look. There’s a lot more room so I don’t expect to ever outgrow this one like before. You will be seeing constant changes. Especially watch the Announcements page and the new one that’s to come which will be called “Hoovers History” or something like that.

Regards to all of you!
Mack

Nice website makeover, but the navigation menu Java applet won’t work unless the Java Runtime Environment has been installed… or you’re running an older version of Windows that still includes Microsoft’s ‘Java Virtual Machine’.
Ever since the little fallout between Microsoft and Sun Microsystems, Windows doesn’t include the Java Virtual Machine that used to allow Java applets to run without having to install the Java Runtime Environment.
It might be somewhat of a hassle for dial-up modem users to download the 16MB installer from Sun Microsystems, but your new website looks great and functions flawlessly.
I would only suggest that you include a notice on the main page that your website requires a Java enabled browser, and also a download link for the Java Runtime Environment.

Nice! I like the openning page very much. Maybe you should start a pole.

Thanks for your comments. I have had two persons email me with their Java applet problems. One was a Firefox user and one was an Opera user. If this is a persistant problem, I can always do away with the applets and just use a text with link approach. If anyone else is having a problem, please let me know by PM or email.

Thanks

Change that to: Peter, the ONE whom Mack humbly refers to as My Super Webmaster

Wonderful!

For all those curmudgeons  who are Javaless, use weird machines, obscure browsers or arcane operating systems, I have revised the navigation on Mack’s new site so that you should now all be happy.

Seriously, thanks for all your comments and suggestions.

Peter

P.S. My apology in advance if this oversteps any commercial posting policies. Blame me not Mack.

Thank you. Simple and lovely menu! …Just because I use a wierd machine, an obscure browser, and an arcane operating system, too, if Win XP counts.

Hi Mack,

That works a treat! Excelent site!

BTW I’m geting lots of use from the blacktop. Great site for great whistles
