Masks! Who likes them?

My feeling is that he has an invisible friend that he is talking to part of the time.

sorry ol’ boy…

…been working too hard?

It was a graphic from the Falcon Rose site.

This graphic is of a Barn Owl, not a falcon… wonder if they know that?

I’ve got a Mardi Gras mask collecting dust somewhere. I should wear it to work.

Hey, you’re right!

That’s hilarious!

I have to wonder if their horse masks aren’t labeled ‘Beagle Masks’. Cool masks all the same, geat stuff.

I believe the barn owl gif is there to represent the mystical/occult associations with this bird and with their fantasy masks. I had forgotten how much I love this particular bird, and thanks to Denny for pulling this image and reminding me of it.

They truly are beautiful birds, and have been a favorite of mine for a long while also. We have loads of 'em down here in FL.

They’re at their very most northern range here, and rare enough to be considered threatened. I had an opportunity to view one very close up (like 2’) at a wildlife park near here where they doctor injured raptors. I was blown away by their incredible beauty, the little jewels in their feather markings, the fascinating ruff, etc. If I remember my Mabinogian correctly, the Welsh name for these birds is gwen hwyvar, which would later become the name Guinevere in British folklore. Altogether a remarkable creature.

Oh yeah, I’d forgotten that. Coolness.

Yes, actually. Been on overtime for the past couple of weeks. :moreevil:

I got that. What wasn’t clicking in the ol’ brainpan (and still ain’t) is the meaning of “Well…duh!” in this context.

I need more sleep…

It fit in well with the theme of the site.

I thought it was a very nicely done site. Beautiful even.

Ah, yeah…I like owls…and it was small enough to not trash the dial up users!
