Also, on checking our web stats for the last couple of months we discovered that 5% of the log on for September was “US military”

If you mean are you sending this crap to every possible recipient on the planet , possibly using an automated system, then no. I’m only sending this crap to three places, entirely manualy.
I’m impressed with this answer. But not with the Martian bagpipes. 
Commercial posts are fine if they are offered within the guidelines set down by the announcement pertaining to such postings.
I’m just trying to keep my rep as an evil moderator dude in tact, while determining whether the body of your contributions to C & F are more than commerce oriented.

I’m gonna start calling mine “Martian Bagpipes”. After all, I couldn’t tell you how many times people have heard “uilleann” as “alien”. Seriously. And they do look sort of otherworldly when you think about it.
