Oops! Looks like they’ve run into some problems. The soil sample was delivered successfully to the gate of the oven, but first it must pass through a vibrating screen that filters the size of the particles to be sampled, and it appears nothing is getting through.
From what I’ve read, it will take a few days for them to determine if their filter vibrator is working as correctly as their sensory apparatus indicates 
, or if the electronic eye that tells them no sample has entered the heating space of the oven has malfunctioned. They are currently unclear whether or not they have successfully soiled the oven.

That is what comes from sending an unmanned vehicle out alone. I suggest that from now on, we send an astronaut up with them. UN officials should do the job nicely. They can be taught to do simple tasks, and no one would really miss them.
