Lunasa in Albany, NY on July 21st FREE!!!

The Lunasa web site says Lunasa will be in Schenectady NY on the 21st of July. Apparently this is incorrect.

The following is the web site for the schedule in Albany and Schenectady and Lunasa will be in Albany, NY, July 21st in Washington Park.

Best of all, it’s FREE!!!

I’ve been to this venue a few times and it’s very pleasant and entirely family oriented. It’s a beautiful place in a city that’s not too bad. (I grew up there.)

If you were thinking of seeing them in Hartford, I called a few minutes ago and there is one ticket left at a cost of $20.

Come to Albany for this free concert and enjoy!

By the way, it’s an outdoor concert, so you want to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Mosquito repellent might be a good idea too.

There are vendors for eats, as far as I remember.

Hope to see some of you there.

Mike

Hey Mike-- sounds terrific! Could you please remind us a couple of days in advance?
Kevin McKrell, who is the opening act, is also killer. Catch him or his whole band ( The McKrells) if you’re ever in the area.
This IS a really terrific summertime venue, and Albany is a very neat city.
If you go, look for me: I’ll be the Robert Reich lookalike wearing a Busman Whistles t-shirt…

Bumping it up to remind y’all…
In case of rain, the concert will move into the Egg convention center, decision to be made around noontime.
Another board member recently went to a Lunasa concert and said it was fantastic. Can’t wait!

I guess I’m the ‘other board member’. . . I didn’t expect so much whistling, and was pleasantly surprised, utterly in awe of the talent, and in deep envy-mode over the low Bflat that was played.

Great sound…phenomental transitions. . .fantastic evening of music

Saw Lunasa (for the second time) in Chicago last week and they were incredible! Even better than I had remembered. I can’t recommend them highly enough. BTW, Kevin Crawford was playing a Susato soprano whistle.

I’m very excited about seeing Lunasa tonight.

I called the venue and because of the threat of rain, the concert has been moved to the Convention Center at Empire State Plaza.

I hope many of you make it.

Mike
