Looking for Pat O'Riordan

I just purchased a D O’Riordan Traveler. A lovely little instrument as one might expect. But today I noticed a hole through the head right where I suspect there should be a pin to hold the block in place! I’d like to see of O’Riordan would take a look at it and fix it if need be. Can anyone provide contact info for him? Is the rather old address on the review page still good??

Many Thanks.

Pat’s email is patoriordan2 (at) aol.com

The brass pin that holds his fipples together on the ones that I have is on the bottom side and is very small. However, some of his whistles have a hole drilled side to side for a cord so you can hang it around your neck.

hope this helps.

My guess is it’s a hole for a lanyard but Pat could tell you for sure.

That is the correct email. If you can’t reach him, let me know and I’ll see if I can dig up a phone number.

Well, I shook the bag it cam in and out popped a lanyard. And, I looked more carefully at the hole and it clearly has nothing to do with the plug, being too far down the mouthpiece. So, it looks like it is for a lanyard (though I must admit I’d think twice about hanging that lovely whistle around my neck like a piece of junk jewelry…

Thanks both of you.
