Hi. I’m in the market to buy my first low whistle. Because it would be my my first and because of budget restrictions, I was thinking about a Dixon low g. Before I order one, I thought I’d ask if anybody had one for sale. If you have a reasonably priced low d I’d be fine with that too. Thanks in advance.
Too bad, you just missed an opportunity last week when there was one for sale on this board.
I highly recommend the Dixon Low G. I just got one a couple weeks ago from the Whislte Shop. It’s beyond what I would have expected. Great sound and easy to play. I don’t even have to use the piper’s grip.
And you can’t go wrong on the price.
One thing to keep in mind…like with all the Dixon whistles I’ve owned, this one requires very little air and until you’re use to it, you may find yourself overblowing. Not to worry, you quickly become accustomed to the low requirements.
And even though it has low air requirements, it has pretty good volume.
