looking for a whistle to buy

The good news is, I was fortunate enough to win Serpent’s last raffle and received the prize a couple of weeks ago and I’ll be posting a review of it soon. The bad news is my WHOA has been reactivated (Drat!!). I agreed to purchase a whistle that a C&F’er had posted on the board and sent the money order off last week for it but BAM!, I get an email from him today saying he is returning my letter unopened, as he has changed his mind about selling the whistle. So… by the end of the week I will have $50.00 to spare. Anybody got a whistle they would like to sell?

I have a susato C/D/Eb set I’d be willing to part with, but what I would really recommend is waiting a couple, getting an extra $20 and getting a C/D combo from Elfsong Whistles. I have this set, and they play marvelously in tune, look incredible and are very responsive. In addition, they aren’t overly demanding airwise.

Just noticed this was my 300th post…and it’s even on topic!

I second the vote for an Elfsong…they are absolutely wonderful whistles. The more I play mine, the better I like 'em.

A C/D set would be $100, though…unless there’s another sale going on??? $75 will get you one, and it’s definitely worth saving the extra $25 for.

Your budget says, “Hoover Whitecap”.
Yup…
Best.

From the standpoint of diversity, you might see if Cyfiawnder’d build you one of his aluminum low-D wonders, in exchange for your cash and a promise to do a review…
Just a thought!

Sounds like some “Seller’s Remorse”. My opinion is that the seller who backed out is a rat fink. I hope he/she doesn’t post any other whistles for sale here. (I, for one, would like for you to out the scaliwag, but I’m sure others disagree.)

John Mac

where does one go about getting one of these elf song whistles?

Lovely Sandy and her lovely whistles can be found here:
