The band has been doing a few vocals in the key of E major so I’m looking for a B natural whistle.
Doc has a Burke brass B natural for sale, but I’m looking at other options as well. Anyone have experience with B naturals you can recommend?
I use a brass Burke in B nat ( as well as high E and Low E aluminum Burkes). It has surprised me in the last few years how much I use that B whistle. Even after nearly fifty years as a guitar player, I never thought so many songs were being sung in E.

Susato B is surprisingly nice, Sindt is very good too.
I’m just about to order a Susato B for the upcoming SoCal tionól. This year I’m determined not to be left out of the flat session in B. 
If you already have a Susato head, the B body is only $20, which is quite reasonable. If it’s as nice as the Susato C and Bb, it should be a winner.
Thanks. I’ve been considering a Susato B since I’ve heard other positive comments about it and is significantly less $ than the Burke. I love my Sindt high D and I’m sure the B would be wonderful, but it’s too long a wait to order one since we have gigs and some studio stuff coming up. I believe I’ll give the Susato a try. Actually, I have two Susatos… D & C with separate heads so may just order the body.

Just ordered a B body direct from Susato. Had a very nice conversation with George’s grandson, Stefan who’s on the weekend watch.
Received the Susato B natural body on Thurs and it’ll do very nicely. Good tone and dead-on intonation including the A-nat. Very responsive.
I haven’t purchased a Susato in a few years and I see they’re now adding a series of grooves around the top of the tube 1cm apart. The B tube has 12 grooves with the rubber o-ring positioned in the 4th groove from the top. These grooves are very helpful for quick tuning reference when using one head with different bodies. Nice.
