Lochlan Sound Clip

Hi there!

Here is the promised sound clip from my new Lochlan. I tried to pick a tune I thought would be familiar to most everyone, but not an air as we already have a couple of those from Gerardo. I also didn’t think anything too fast would be completely appropriate as this is a new whistle on the market, and I imagine everyone is primarily interested in it’s tone. I settled on The Parting Glass at a slow to moderate tempo. I’m also using new computer equipment, a new mic, and new recording software - so I struggled with getting the settings correct. Also, to top things off, I’m new to BoxNet. So, I hope this works. If not, please let me know.

Disclaimer: I apologize in advance for my lack of virtuosity. I continue to work on obtaining a more traditional sound.

Edited to include: I forgot to mention that this is a recording with no bells or whistles (well, okay, maybe there’s one whistle :laughing: ), no reverb or other tricks, just a dry recording.

Sounds like you have a fan club started here Deb. Maybe we could get T-shirts or something.

RVC: Wow! :boggle: You are making your own whistle? I wouldn’t have a clue even where to begin. I admire that. I bet it will be very rewarding to play an instrument you built yourself.
