Hi all
I have returned back from my last job of the year, so hope to get some flute time in,
I was practicising last night and notice that my left hand L2 finger tip is positioned in the hole as opposed to covering with the first pad, would it be better to try and retrain the L2 to sit on the hole firts pad instead of in it, I ask as I find it quite hard to correct, when using ornaments which I am only just starting to introduce ( very slowly played ) I find it also hard to get me finger out of the hole with speed, I know Hammys flutes have biggish holes so may be this is the reason I am placing the finger tip in/on the hole and not the pad.
I have watched a few youtube videos, Matt Molloys hands are so relaxed his L2 is positioned
first pad, or its seems to be, and a few other players that I have watched are the same.
any useful advice or anyone have the same problem let us know.
I will try and upload a pic so you can see what I mean about my L2 position.
cheers sponge
