I’m working on Labo(u)r Day. I also have class.

We got President’s Day or something equally as trivial off last semester. That was odd.

Sorry you have to be labo(u)ring on Labo(u)r Day. Are you wearing your white shoes to work? or is today the actual cut off point when the white shoes can no longer be worn?

Wierd…we celebrate labor by taking the day off. Shouldn’t it be called “Liesure day?”

The only rule I’ve heard about wearing white has to do with stockings…only little girls and nurses can wear white stockings. That’s why I’m going to get a pair for Mr Izz once he graduates from nursing school

That’s because your not as long in the tooth as yours truly. I grew up hearing that kinda stuff.
I always heard that you don’t wear white shoes or white slacks or white skirts after Labor Day, and your purse should match your shoes.
Now that I’m older, I wear comfortable shoes no matter the color and take a purse that holds all my stuff regardless of color.
