Kennedy Csharp Half Set Coming up for Sale.

The C sharp half set that has been dwelling with me will be up for sale soon.

It’s in Ebony with boxwood mounts and brass fittings. 5 chanter keys: F nat., G sharp, B flat, C nat., 3rd octave D plus chanter stop key. Very nice and substantial birdseye maple bellows.

It’s an excellent 1/2 set but I’m smitten by Joe’s new C design and am going to go that direction. Anybody who is going to be in Miltown should try to see/hear the C half set he’s delivering to a customer there… nice.

The C sharp half set may be heading back to Canada with Joe in a couple of weeks time if anybody on that side of the pond is interested.

Sorry for the bump, but there are now a few (bad) pics of the half set on Pat’s uilleann obsession site in the ‘classifieds’ section.

The price on them is 3500 EUROS… not dollars.

If they are to be posted to someone by Joe then I suppose there’ll be that expense as well, ask him about that.

I am very tempted. I am sure that C# 1/2 set is super. However, I am waiting (pant, pant) for Joe to get his C set dialed in. I hear he has a good working C chanter design. (Oh boy! oh boy!)

Very nice set. JK does very good work.

Owning a set of his bellows, and played a few of his sets in T.O. I can attest to his work that Joe makes beautiful and astounding looking and playing pipes. I’ve recently played a C# 1/2 set he made out of applewood, which purred very nice.

No doubt this set that Harry is selling will be scooped up FAST I’m sure.
