I've played for 2 days and I already show the symptoms...

of WhOA!

That’s right. I think I’m addicted. It could possibly be aided by the fact that I can play my whistle at work.

I suffered from it without even having my first whistle yet. When I heard it being played on a song I fell in love with the sound instantly!!!

I don’t even remember what made me want to learn how to play. Oh yeah, it was from my initial obsession with Uilleann pipes. I might never progress to those though. The whistle is just too much fun. It’ll be even more fun when I get over this chest cold that I’m getting.

The portability of the whistle is one of it’s major joys. Get a cheapie and keep it in your car, for example. YOu never know where the urge will strike.
Note that WHOA refers specifically to the obsessive acquisition of multiple whistles, not just playing the instrument. It’s a slippery slope…

Paul is right. But get several whistles in several keys to keep in the car. I am conservative though. I only have 4 in the car 2 Ds, 1 Eb and 1 C.
they are Feadog, Waltons and Generation.

Your tagline says it all Ron

Yeah, I’m going to end up that way pretty soon. My current goal is to learn as much as I can on my Feadog while I figure out what to buy next. Or how many I will purchase at once next.
