It's Frickin' Hot

You know you’re not coping well with the heat when you take a frozen dinner out of the freezer and find some of the grains of rice are moving of their own volition.

Hot and steamy all week, and forcast to be the same right through the weekend. I suppose there’s some sicko pervs out there who think they enjoy this kind of weather. They are welcome to it.

What are the polar bears doing?

It’s only 93F here. I’m running the demon AC, I’m so ashamed

I spent the 4th of July in a town where it was about 109F (42.8C). The humidity was 8%, but 109 is HOT in any humidity. Running in the mid-90s here now..I’m not complaining because I’d rather have it this way than a foot of snow and freezing. My garden is struggling, though…

Susan

It’s 95F and 47% humidity, in other words a typical Houston summer.

Poor baby, It’s going to be 112F here today, with a very likely “low” in the 90’s because of the “heat island” in which I live in/on. And although it isn’t pleasant, I’m used to it! go me.

However the pipes do not like it… :swear:

Ha. 16 Celsius and continuously pissing rain

Yes, I’m looking at the temps out in BC, and am exceeding jealous. I don’t have the demon AC, but if I did I can assure you it would be set at a permanent 16°C.

I can’t wait till there’s a foot of snow on the ground again.

I don’t know, I’d be happy with 19 celsius and maybe not using up the average amount rainfall for the month every week (as has been the case here since early june)

I am looking forward to experiencing the irish climate this winter. Gaoth Dobhair shouldn’t be too bad at the end of december, should it?

ah, good times. I miss them.

Are you sure those are … rice? :astonished:

Nice here today. Sunny and 75F/23C now, with a gentle late afternoon sea breeze.

Even in the High Country of AZ it’s been hot (and humid…). The CoC did not advertise the humidity levels during monsoon season… I guess that means my zouk won’t split again.

I’m with Peter - bored with a month’s predicted rainfall every week! Our clay soil is still liquid, whereas it’s usually baked brick hard by now. I am growing mould!

Same here. Yesterday was diabolical dawn to dusk. The sun’s out this morning but there’s a force 7 blowing and it’s 17°C. I hear there’s a faint chance of better to come, so chin up, eh?

Ah yes, about an hour ago the clouds went south (literally) and it’s been beautifully clear ever since, that crisp clean air only wind from the North-West seems to bring. And yes 17 C and 7 Beaufort it is. Great for drying.
