Irish music in Indiana?

Does anyone know of any whistle teachers, sessions, Irish groups, workshops, etc. in Indiana? I have been looking high and low and cannot find anything so I was hoping that someone here would know.

There are three session listings for Indiana on http://www.sessioneer.com , two for Bloomington and one for Indianapolis.

There is a session in Indianapolis at a bar/pub called The Ace. I think it’s still on Tuesday nights…not sure of the time.

Grey Larsen’s session happens in Bloomington at Borders Books the 1st Friday of every month. Grey is also a good person to take lessons from if you’re nearby.

The Irish Lion pub (Bloomington) has a session on Sunday nights from around 6pm-9pm (the time varries a bit though).

There is also a slow/learning session at the Banneker Community Center on Saturdays from 4pm-6pm. Attendance is sometimes pretty low (only a couple of people) but sometimes as many as 10-15 show up on rare occasions.

I know there are at least a few trad. Irish players in Lafayette but I’m not sure if they have a regular session.

There’s also a session in Vincennes, IN the 2nd Saturday of the month at Purgatory coffee house.

I’m working on putting together a Chiff&Fipple get together in Bloomington the weekend of October 5th. I should have the Web site with all the details up early this week. I’ll post a note when it’s ready for viewing.
