For the past few years, we have been holding a small concert to mark International Uilleann Piping Day. This year, thanks to the generosity of Na Piobairi Uilleann and the Irish government, we are being joined by Jimmy O’Brien Moran. Jimmy, who should need no introduction on this forum, will be playing 3 concerts in the Quebec City region on the weekend of October 16, 17 and 18. He’s also arranging some gigs in Montreal for the week of October 19 - I’ll add information when I get it.
If anyone is in the area in mid-October, and is interested either in attending a concert or taking part in a yet-to-be-fixed piping master class, or both, let me know and I’ll get you all the necessary information.
