What is everybody doing for IUPD 2016, Saturday 15th October?

At the South Wales Uilleann Pipers club we are organising a recital in Cardiff:

The Cardiff Story Museum
2-4pm, free admission

Performances by
The South Wales Uilleann Pipers
with special guests
Joey Abarta
Gerardo Albela González (Galician Gaita)

also:
Try the pipes
Gramophone recital with piping 78’s

Followed by a session in The Cayo Arms pub, Cardiff, 6-10pm

Really happy to have Mr Joey Abarta over for a few tunes. Everyone is invited to join in the session afterwards.

The Glasgow Uilleann Pipers Club has Maitiú Ó Casaide and possibly one other, at the Glad Foundation - afternoon and early evening.

Will be in a class taught by Cillian Vallely all that day, at the O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat; plenty of piping to go around.

Happy Uilleann Piping Day! Will have my practice set out today to celebrate.

I joined the South Wales IUPD for the evening session from 6pm. It was great. It was a tremendous pleasure and honour to meet and share some tunes with Joey Abarta and the other musicians there.
