International Day of Uilleann Piping Oct 15th

South Wales Uilleann Pipers are going to be hosting a piping event as part of the wider global celebration of piping promoted by the NPU. It will include tea , coffee and biscuits ( get them in with that :wink: ) some recitals , interactive stations , bit of chat about pipes , allow joe public to strap on the pipes and have a go and in general have a bit of fun. Almost forgot it’s a free event too. The venue is Morlais Hall , home of Cor Meibion Morlais Choir http://www.cor-meibion-morlais.org.uk/ , located at bottom of North Rd , Ferndale , Rhondda , South Wales.

So if you’re close enough to come up, down , across or around please feel free to spend a few hours in our company having some craic.

We are holding a raffle of pipe related paraphenalia for the International Day of Uilleann Piping. the prizes are :

  1. The DVD “Traveller Piper” celebrating the Doran Centenary tionól.

  2. Dublin Made Me , a cd featuring Liam O’Connor on fiddle and Seán McKeon on Pipes

  3. Number 6 , a cd featuring SeĂĄn Potts , Irish Traditional Music on the Tin Whistle.

We will post these items WORLDWIDE. We will be selling tickets on the day but I’m guessing there won’t be too many attending so you’ve got a really good chance of winning.
