Interesting flute advert on eBay

Here’s an “Irish Rosewood 4 Part 26” Student Level Flute Irish D Flute Two Reeds With Case”. Students must be excited at having two reeds for the flute…

Best wishes.

 Country of manufacture is listed as the UK, but I really expected it be from Pakistan (maybe it really is). :boggle: Perhaps Pakistani-made FLOs made in the UK?
And what the heck is “Riser material” on a flute? (gold, no less) Or ‘Varnished’ key finish?

Item is located in the UK, but cannot be shipped to the UK? That’s properly weird.

Obviously the “rosewood” is Sheesham wood, a sure sign of Sialkot make.

But I wonder what they use for reed material(s)

Happy New Year

Steve

Presumably some kind of rare earth mineral? The same seller lists what looks like an identical flute for half the price if you’re willing to play without reeds.
