I am just back from Galway, fled to the city this morning rather than spending the day in a dark house, looking at the mist outside.
Did the round of the second hand and other shops.
Among other things, 1I came away with a book:
In nearly ever house ; Irish traditional musicians of North Connaught. Text and interviews by Gregory Daly and (very fine) B&W photography by James Fraher.
It’s not a new book (2020) but I had never come across it before. It was a nice find.
If you are into the music of the area highly recommended. And at 20 euro it is very reasonable too.
I don’t know anything more about it but got mine at Chailie Byrne’s in Galway.
