I'm fascinated!

Hey, everybody, I found some new stuff to whistle!
I wanted to get my daughter a good birthday present, and since she actually READS Anglo Norman and Anglo Saxon, I bought her a CD from “Mediaeval Babes,” titled “Mirabilis.” This group sings music from the, ah, Middle Ages.
SCORE!
My daughter LOVED the CD, but I was surprised to find myself loving it also. The music is FASCINATING, and I detect whistles in the background, I think. (actually, I checked the cover, and it’s…uh…re****ers. Sorry.)
I have already learned to imperfectly play one song, and it ROCKS on the whistle. Whistles sound great with very old music. Ya’ll should try it!

I listen to the Mediaeval Baebes every day at work.

Mirabilis is a good one. I like their older CDs better though. Both The Rose and Undrentide are great. I think Undrentide is my favorite.

I suggest a group called QNTAL . Yes the spelling is correct and it is pronounced “kin-TALL”. Mediaeval Music with Electronica.
