Hey everyone, i’ve been on vacation (and saw that i started quite the little riot about me being recognized) and on the way went to elderly music in michigan. They had generation whistles and walton’s irish whislte there really cheap so I picked up a generation D and a walton’s c. I love the walton’s whistle (my fav. cheap brand) but I can’t tell wheter or not i like my generation. At times it sounds horrible, but at others it sounds like the best whistle I got. Any of you have this weird occurance with your generation d’s?

Yes,it was all about YOU!!
Actually that turned out to be a good thread.
I got five Gen Ds last week. Out of the box, one sounded good, the rest needed sticky tack and sandpaper. Then they all got better (except the one I ruined) and are good now. Of course, they make a very distinctive sound, different from the other cheap whistles. It’s like many other things in life…it depends on what you’re used to, and on what you expect. I like beer and I like Coke, but if I pick up one, expecting the other, I think it’s the most terrible beer or coke I’ve ever tasted. Same with Gens, Feadogs, Waltons, Clares, etc.
