I think this chanter was discussed about 12 months ago. It was suggested that it looked like a Froment (particularly the chanter top) but it seems to be in brass, and Froment has not made pipes with brass for a long time - he mainly works in stainless steel and occasionally german silver. Alternatively, it was suggested that it could be by Lorcan Dunne, John Mitchell or even Dave Williams.
Here’s a link to the previous discussion:

This is no Williams, so the search can go on

Check out this site and look at the chanter…

Good Luck!
Well spotted.
For ease of reference:

The upper mounts and ferrule look very similar but there appears to be more detail in the lower mount.
The wind cap bears no similarity. In fact, the only similarity is between the mounts and ferrule at the throat, and it’s a very common set up in many makers design (and a very appealing one it is too).
The windcap is very much like a Froment (though it isn’t). In fact, I can only echo Toms remarks from the previous thread. If anything, it also reminds me of Donncha Keegans work. So there’s another name to stir it up.
thanks for the help lads/lassies

I think I saw John Mitchell’s email address in the An Píobaire (NPU) a while back. I will have a look and come back later with it.
No email listed in the An Píobaire for John Mitchell just his address and phone number.
