I wanna trade my Dixon Bb for a Shaw.

Preferably a Shaw Bb, but I would also take a soprano D.

Dude, you’re crazy (in my humble opinion, of course).
Chris

The bell note just bothers the Hell out of me. Plus I love the sound of a wooden plug.

I’ve got an Shaw-E and a Generation Nickel Bb that’s not bad. E-mail me off the board if they sound good to you.

It’s okay man, I also love the sound of a wooden plug. I haven’t played any Dixons, and I don’t really care to, but I’ve had a number of Shaws and none were really to my liking. If Clarke made their original models in lower keys I think they’d be about perfect for me, with a little tweaking of course. I’m a flute player, so I’m used to pumping a lot of air into an instrument, but the Shaws just seem unreasonable to me.
Best,
Chris

I have a Shaw D. Email me if you’re interested. I love the tone (much warmer than the Clarke D), but it just takes too much energy to blow the thing comfortably in the second octave. I’m not interested in your Dixon, since I have a Susato Bb which I like very much.
