I played a whole tune without mistakes!

Just wanted to share my joy. I got my Freeman Tweaked Generation D in the mail last night and have hardly put it down since. I already had a group of songs picked out that I wanted to learn to play. When my first choice (the Bird Song) didn’t agree well with the notation software, I switched to my second for the time being.

Dabbling in the Dew by Lesley Nelson-Burns

I’m playing it at about 60% of its speed and I went through it completely, from memory, without any mistakes. Woohoo!

Now to get back to practicing to make this fluke a more common occurrence…

Good for you! I felt much the same way at my last session when I realized I played along to at least 5 of the tunes - playing along meaning playing at least 60% of the notes! Some of them I played almost all the notes.

It’s fun to feel yourself progress.

Congratulations, Katie!

I knew you’d do well.

Congratulations, i know how you feel  I’ve just recently started to be able to play a few songs without mistakes…on rare occasions. Grats!

Yippee! Bring on the sessions!

Tom

way to go. now the next skill to learn is how to make a mistake and make it work.

Good for you Diane and Trixle! Congratulations!!

I’m no where near the point of making my mistakes sound good. I can make a nice bird call, though.

Katie, I don’t know you yet, but I’m excited for you just the same. Great job! I know what an accomplishment that is.

Good for you! It will happen more and more the longer you play. .. of course, it will never be total.. … and that’s OK. Have fun, get better, do your best and grow.

Congrats Katie! I just started the whistle in August, so I sure know how you feel.

My motto: “I am better then yesterday, not as good as tomorrow.”

Keep on whistling!
Bonnie

you rock!

Good Job, Katie!
Whenever I play a song without mistakes, I try to remember the moment because it will be months before it happens again.
