I can't get the tape out of the tube.

edit

Cranberry, next time roll up some waxed paper and insert it into the tube with enuf sticking out to remove it. That ought to do the trick, you tweaker, you.

Tough one. If the fipple is off, I would use nail polish remover and strips of cloth wrapped around a bamboo skewer. It would probably take a few applications; just keep rubbing until all the sticky bits are gone.

Hope this helps,
N

Tippex/liquid paper/what ever you call correction fluid - thinner!
Or from a model shop - liquid poly - a toluene based glue for plastic models.

Put a drop on the tape, and it will dissolve the glue, and prolly the plastic too.

DO NOT get it on a plastic fipple, unless you want to kill it!

I would do all of the above … then shop the entire story – from beginning to end – to all the major networks. Sell the story as a sitcom and retire on your earnings – young and surrounded by whistles. …

Try Goo Gone.

I keep a bottle in the cupboard all the time. It will remove almost anything, including Duct Tape droppings.

WD-40 works pretty well for getting gummy price tags off, might work for getting the stickies off of tape.

I bet it can’t get Clare Short out of the UK government though!

Re: All of above.

Use in well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors. Ideally, wear a painter’s respirator.

Best wishes,
Jerry

I would try rubbing alcohol first, and citrus solvent next but you have to remember that you’ll be smelling or inhaling that stuff for a while. Alcohol is least likely to last. Skinny dowel, wadded rags/cotton and alcohol is what I would use. I sure wouldn’t mess with nailpolish remover. I don’t know about that brand, but on gens, there is a laquer coating inside that comes off when you mess with em. So don’t be surprised if you get crinkly stuff coming out.

Well, C’berry, per Weeks’ correct admonition abt. not using polish remover in the case of lacquered interiors, I hope you haven’t jumped the gun at my urging. Not being savvy in the arcana of whistles, I’ll stick to flutes and aggravating others.

Best,
N

Cran,

Seeing as Sweetones come in a rainbow of colours anyway, what colour did you decide to paint yours & then not like it? Just curious.
