End of january or beginning of february my regulator’s are coming. When I got them I shall make some pictures of them place them on the net.
Congratulations, I’m on the list as well but I won’t have the money until the summer.I’ve been watching the progress and I can promise you that you are in for a real treat! Very best wishes and I hope you have a lifetimes enjoyment from a superb instrument.
Hey guys I’m jelous ![]()
Thank you for your kind words.
Yes last week Howard phoned me. I am very impatient for the day I see and hear the regs.
He also informed me about a short course of 4 days with a narrow boat starting from Oxford for 250pounds.
Congratulations!
Please post some photos of the Howard regs when you received them.
I have never saw his regs before.

Thanks for the pics Joe!
I found some

Is he still making in the same style? The cahnter is very diffrent from
his current works.
the key shapes very similar but they are not now shoulder mounted, but rather with silver key mounts. The chanter looks like his rowsom chanter, but it could be his old kenna. The reg keys that i have seen are also perfectly in line, unlike the ones in the pic. I suspect Finbar has “adjusted” these. The base drone is also differnt now.
Tommy Keane has a set of Howard with Now a D chanter by Alain G Froment

I heard Tommy play the Howard set in 1996 at Willie Week solo
Also heard Tommy at Stray leaf folk Club Mullaghbawn South Armagh with wife Jackie in 1996 and then 1999 he changed his Howard chanter to D chanter by Alain G Froment when I first heard Tommy play the regs which sounded great.
