How much to ask for a YAMAHA YFL221N?

Hi guys!

I’ve got a japanese Yamaha YFL221N. I want to sell it, but I don’t know how much to ask for.
It’s in good shape, it could use a manteinance and a pad change. A secondary b key needs repair too.
I’ve also a question, ¿the Yamaha YFL-211N It’s better or not than mine, Yamaha YFL-221N?

About price I’ve seen YFL-221N in some pages:

http://www.guitarsampsetc.com/Products/Yamaha%20YFL-221N%20Standard%20Flute.html U$S804.-
http://es.willyfogg.com/p31209956/Flauta+Transversal+estándar+niquelada+YFL221N/ U$S603.-
http://www.pronto.com/compare/yamaha-yfl-221n-standard-flute-10305224580 U$S589.- (CHEAPEST)

Now I want to know how much to ask for my flute that needs some cleaning ans repair.

Thanks!

You might get some suggestions here. But the emphasis of this forum is on the Irish timber flute - simple system wooden flute - not the silver Boehm system orchestral flute like yours.

Can anyone point the OP to an appropriate online venue?

here is a couple…

I’d think about $100 if it’s in good shape.
They’re only $450 new on ebay

Thanks folks, I’ll keep that in mind.

Peace

I wouldn’t bother. Any repair person will want to do an overhaul which costs about $300 - well worth it for a good flute. However, if it sells for $450 new, you’re not going to get much from someone who has to find a person to repair it after they get it. Too many used flutes on the market to be worth the trouble.

you could make a lamp…
